Brien A. Miller Painting Co., Inc.

Safety Is Job #1

By keeping the conversation going we believe that awareness of safety issues is a great way to prevent incidents. Starting with ownership and flowing through to project management, supervision, and the foreman; safety is a top priority and implemented at every level. We have a formal safety and hazard communication plan in place.

We provide training to our employees on a regular basis. The OSHA 10 hour course is administered yearly. First Aid / CPR training is provided bi-annually as required and in house safety meetings are conducted quarterly or as needed.

  • Our Foremen are familiar with and use tool box talks to facilitate awareness and promote learning weekly.
  • Our painters are fit tested for the safe use of respirators when conducting spray operations.
  • All employees are provided personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, safety vests and work gloves.

We also employ a safety consultant who conducts job site inspections daily. Inspections are formally reported back to us for verification and remedial action.

We are proficient in the following safety training topics:

  • OSHA 10
  • Lift operation
  • Respirator
  • Safety boots
  • Fall protection
  • Small tools
  • Silica dust
  • MSD (Material Safety Data)
